My Green World is an international youth exchange between 3 countries: France, Hungary and Romania. It lasts for a total of 14 months, with an 11-day period for implementation between 29 January – 10 February 2021. The location of the implementation is the Kitoko Residences in La Saline-les-Bains, in Reunion department of France. The group participating in the implementation consists of 34 persons: young people, team leaders and operational staff (management, logistics, etc) together.
My Green World raises awareness of the importance of good environmental practices in rural communities by enhancing the environmental education of its members and by providing concrete examples of positive action, using methods of non-formal education, in a multicultural context. Throughout the project, the young people will learn more about ecology from each other through the Eco Workshops, will create promotional materials to reach others online (Eco Clips) and will do some concrete activities (such as greening) connected to environmental protection. Furthermore, they will learn about other cultures and make new friends, all by visiting a new location, increasing their mobility. At the follow-up stage, the young people will apply the things learned in the youth exchange and create Eco Actions in their communities, therefore raising awareness about local ecological problems and spreading the knowledge about Erasmus+.
The young people who want to carry out the project have been effectively involved in the design of the schedule of activities, cooperating with each other and with the responsibles of the international project team and with other young people from partner organizations. They have sketched an attractive design of the activities, as it seemed the most interesting for them. The activities will allow the exploration of many points of view within the group, will facilitate the team work and intercultural learning and will give the chance for all to learn experimenting. Methods of non-formal education, as well as practical activities (Eco Workshops designed by the young people, planting trees, greening, etc) will be used for this purpose.
The methodology behind the activities of our youth exchange is based on non-formal education techniques which various roles in obtaining the desired results from the implementation. Examples of methods:
The schedule of the youth exchange will be available directly to the participants, closer to the implementation date.
